Sincere thanks to everyone who helped make our St. Patrick's Day Mass in Irish so special. It was fantastic to be allowed gather together again to celebrate this very special feast day in our church. Huge thanks to Fr. Barney McGuckian from Clongoweswood College for celebrating our Mass in our native language and to Tom Crehan for volunteering to lead us in the readings. Having lived with Covid-19 restrictions for two years It was fantastic to have our young Irish dancers perform for us and enriching our ceremony. Thanks to the Angela Brien School of Dancing (086-6064164) for this wonderful display. Thanks also to Billy Carey and the folk group for the beautiful Irish Hymns.
We have two Masses here in our church tomorrow to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Fr. Bernard will say Mass in English at 10am and we are delighted to have Fr. Barney McGuckian back with us again to celebrate Mass in Irish at 11.30am.
What a special day today was here in our church. Thanks to Bishop Denis for 3 beautiful ceremonies - it was really great to have Bishop Denis back here again to Confirm our young people. Thanks to everyone who helped make today run smoothly. May the Holy Spirit bless all our newly confirmed young people.
We look forward to welcoming Bishop Denis to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation here in our parish on Wednesday 16th March. We will have 3 ceremonies 9.30am / 11am / 12.30pm so please note that our normal Communion Prayer Service will not take place this week. We continue to pray for our young people who along with their teachers, parents and guardians will join Bishop Denis for what should be a joyous occasion and an important milestone in their lives. May the Holy Spirit guide and protect them forever.
We welcome our young children preparing for First Holy Communion along with their families to our Family Mass this Sunday, March 6th at 11.30am. We continue to keep our young people preparing for the sacraments in our prayers at all times.
